Hello, my name is Katie Henderson, and I am a Creative Practitioner based in South Wales. Nature inspires my creativity and has heavily influenced my artwork and creative workshops. Within an earthy, nature-inspired aesthetic, my artwork consists mainly of large-scale and installation pieces, incorporating the manipulation of found objects, photography, sustainable, recycled, repurposed and natural materials, soundscapes, and video. I also enjoy creating art that invites audiences to participate, interact, and collaborate by combining others' work into my creative outcome or using conversations and stories with others as inspiration.  

 

Sharing stories and opening conversations also carry into my art workshops. Using art as a tool for social interaction and creating a warm, encouraging space that nurtures a flow of discussion is key in my sessions.  I plan to continue positively impacting participants and their communities in future sessions by using art-making to explore social and environmental topics to inspire proactive change.
